Scott Arnold was raised in California and Virginia. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1983. Before attending law school, Mr. Arnold worked in the construction and advertising industries.
Mr. Arnold graduated in 1990 from the University of Texas School of Law, and was Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review. He has a B.A. in History from the College of William & Mary.
Mr. Arnold began his law practice litigating environmental and toxic tort cases for Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough in Columbia, South Carolina. He moved back to Texas in 1992 to work for the Austin firm of Skelton & Woody, which eventually became Skelton, Woody, Arnold & Placek. Since returning to Texas, Mr. Arnold has worked primarily on insurance coverage and bad faith cases, premium collection and overcharge cases, commercial litigation, and related appeals.
