Matthew J. Foerster


Matthew Foerster is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Dallas, and he graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 2008.

After moving to Austin, Matt joined the law firm of Arnold & Placek, P.C. He practices commercial and insurance litigation, primarily focusing on insurance coverage litigation, bad faith defense, insurance fraud and premium recovery, judicial review of administrative decisions, and consumer protection/deceptive trade practices litigation. His practice also includes appeals, contract litigation, regulatory compliance litigation, and various employment law issues. Matt has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2008.

In addition to his law practice, Matt is an avid soccer fan and a professional soccer referee. He officiates games in Major League Soccer, NCAA, and local youth and amateur soccer leagues.
